We have come together to speak up for ourselves and for others who have intellectual and developmental disabilities. We advocate for policies that promote community inclusion and self-determination so that all people with intellectual and developmental disabilities can live, work and play in the community.
Typical Activities:
Providing advocacy training for self-advocates and support staff.
Advocating at the General Assembly for legislative change - this includes speaking with legislators, attending budget hearings, and participating in advocacy rallies.
Providing representatives on the US Department of Justice settlement agreement committees and work groups.
