Self-Advocacy and Independence Creates opportunities for individuals to participate in community events, trainings and volunteer outings. Trust Program Assists in planning for the financial and service needs of individuals with disabilities now and for the future. Guardianship Ensures the health, safety and happiness of individuals with disabilities who may not have a family member to provide this critical monitoring and support. Family Support Connects families of individuals with disabilities to community resources and programs. Care Management Unit Coordinates long-term care services for individuals with disabilities.

Mission/Vision Statement:
The mission of Life Navigators is to improve the quality of life for individuals with developmental and related disabilities, their families, and the community through information, education, advocacy and life planning services.

Typical Activities:

Men’s & Women’s Group
Offers a support network of peers and community outings for individuals with a higher level of independence.

Healthy Relationship Classes
Provides classes covering adolescent development, self-protection and self-esteem.

Social Opportunities & Community Outings
Offers social opportunities and community outings for individuals with disabilities. Activities vary from month to month but in the past have included events such as a sports outing, summer picnic, afternoon at the movies, and a presentation from a local firefighter.

Game Night
Offers an opportunity to have fun while building skills and your social network. This event meets about every other month to play games and socialize!

Emergency Fund
Provides food, clothing and household items to allow individuals to be safe, happy and healthy. Children and adults in crisis will receive items to meet their individualized needs, such as:

Groceries, toiletries and personal care items
Clothes and socks
First aid supplies
Blankets and sheets
Smoke detectors and small appliances
Soap, Suds & Supply Drive
Provides supplies that support individuals with disabilities to be safe, healthy and active. Children and adults will receive items to meet their individualized needs, such as:

Shampoo and conditioner
Body wash and soap
