Training: Training is conducted for members and advisors to help them run an effective chapter. Training includes subjects like board and committee membership, leadership, advisor roles and responsibilities and advocacy and leadership. Speakers Bureau Speakers from our organization are available to conduct training or to do presentations. Some of the topics include: self-determination, self-advocacy and leadership.

The major purpose of Speaking for Ourselves is to help our members run their own organization, develop leadership skills through real life experiences, learn to work together collectively to address their own issues and increase their own self-sufficiency and independence.
